Cortech Developments are pleased to announce a key integration initiative with ADT Fire & Security’s Custodial Group. Our main software product, the Datalog SMS, now communicates with ADT’s General Alarm system, a Programmable Logic Control (PLC) based system for operation in Prisons, Secure Units and Young Offenders Institutes. The General Alarm system is National Offender Management Service (NOMS) compliant and fully complies with all the latest prison service specifications.
This driver allows either: –
- A number of single PLC units (20-80 way) to be connected on separate RS232 communication ports.
- One or more Network Interface Units (NIU) to be connected, again each one on a separate RS232 communication port.
Each NIU40 allows up to 40 individual PLC units to be multiplexed back to the Datalog system.
The single PLC80 panel can monitor up to 80 alarm zones.
All of the alarm zones can be mapped back to a Datalog circuit.
When an alarm is announced it can either be accepted or reset using the standard procedures of the Datalog system.
This development provides the end user with an opportunity to combine the ADT MX and MZX range of fire panels for integration with the Datalog SMS.
